New Delhi, Oct 12 (IANS): India Against Corruption (IAC) member Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters were detained Friday while protesting against cabinet minister Salman Khurshid and his wife.

Police swooped on them when they were protesting on the streets near Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Race Course Road residence.

The IAC is demanding the minister's resignation after alleging that an NGO headed by him and run by his wife Louise was involved in financial bungling. Khurshid has denied the charge.

According to an IAC spokesperson, the prime minister refused to meet Kejriwal, who was taken away along with his supporters in buses by police.

"We will remain in jail and we will not come out," thundered Kejriwal from inside a bus.

While Kejriwal was taken to the Bawana police station in northwest Delhi, other protesters were driven to Parliament Street.

Kejriwal, who wanted to meet the prime minister, was accompanied by a group of differently-abled people from the Rashtriya Viklang Party. The prime minister refused to meet Kejriwal, citing prior appointments.

Kejriwal said he wanted to submit a letter to the PM detailing his allegations against Khurshid.

According to Kejriwal, the suspect NGO siphoned off lakhs of rupees that was meant for physically challenged people.

"A police complaint should be filed immediately against Salman Khurshid and his wife. Khurshid should be removed from the cabinet till proven innocent. Both are influential people, they can tamper with evidence and pressure witnesses. They should be arrested," said Kejriwal.

Khurshid is planning to sue Kejriwal over the allegations.

‘India Against Corruption’ (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal should not become ive and attack a particular target. IAC and Mr. Kejriwal should also identify hundreds of super-mega corruption cases involving lakhs of Crores of rupees
Thousands of mega scams lootings thousands of Crores and other scams with hundreds of Crores in all the parties including the so called patriotic BJP party.
Mr. Kejriwal, at-least attempt to make a list of corrupt politician in all the major political parties and don't target only Congress. Other parties too made lakhs of Crores, during their tenure and they also misused public money to glorify their party. Mr. Kejriwal and ‘IAC’ please expose the dirty politician’s misdeeds in politics.
Both corruption and communal violence are equally the bane of Indian society. Mr. Kejriwal, why don’t you fight for communal violence and support the introduction of “Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill” too? Even this too is a very serious issue for the future generation and our growth. In this global village, the minorities will no more tolerate ive growths and targeted criticisms.
