150 kg Heroin Seized in Turkey


Ankara, Oct 14 (IANS): Turkish police seized 150 kg of heroin from a car in the Duzce province, Anatolia news agency reported Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, the Turkish security teams stopped a car in Duzce and confiscated 150 kg of heroin in the car, Xinhua reported, adding that one person was detained in the operation.

Turkey has long been a key transit point along the drug smuggling route from Asia and Middle East to Europe.
