Pondicherry: Annual Feast of St Teresa Celebrated

Pondicherry, Oct 15: The traditional annual feast of St Teresa is celebrated at the shrine of St Teresa, Mahe from October 5 to 22.

The solemn Holy Mass and Novena take place from October 5 to 22 at 6 pm every year followed by procession, benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and blessing with the relics of St Teresa.

On October 14 at 6 pm Solemn High Mass will be held followed by solemn procession through the town.

On October 15, the feast day, Holy Mass will be offered at 6 am to 10 am in different languages (Malayalam, Tamil, Konkani, English and Latin). At 10.30 am Solemn Concelebrated Mass, procession and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

On festal days, special buses will be available for pilgrims from important towns of North Kerala. More bogies will be attached to trains by Mahe railway station.

Rooms for pilgrims’ are available in the premises of shrine.
