London, Oct 17 (IANS): A US jeweller is offering customers a free rifle with each engagement ring worth $1,999 or more, a media report said Tuesday.
The jeweller, Harold van Beek of North Liberty, Iowa, said he wanted to "do something for the boy who doesn't like to hunt for diamonds but likes to hunt for deer".
Hunting fans will not have to choose between the diamond and the rifle. Thanks to Van Beek they can get both. The offer starts Thursday and will continue til October end.
Van Beek borrowed the idea from Mike Geller, a jeweller in Atlanta who had a similar offer in September, The Telegraph reported.
