Rahul Gandhi Meets PM

New Delhi, Oct 17 (IANS): Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday for a "routine meeting", party sources said.

"Yes, he (Gandhi) met the prime minister," a Congress source told IANS.
He refused to divulge what was discussed, saying only that it was a routine meeting.

The meeting with the prime minister at his 7, Race Course Road residence comes amid speculation of Gandhi joining the cabinet.

On Tuesday, Manmohan Singh and Congress party chief Sonia Gandhi met President Pranab Mukherjee, sparking talk of a cabinet reshuffle that has been on the cards for some time.

Speculation about a cabinet reshuffle has been doing the rounds since the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress quit the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) last month leaving six posts vacant. C.P. Joshi, minister of state for road transport and highways, was given additional charge of the railways portfolio after Trinamool's Mukul Roy quit.
Slots vacated by the DMK earlier also have to be filled up. Besides, ministers holding dual charge are to be relieved.

Congress sources had hinted last month that the much awaited reshuffle could happen after Oct 15, after the end of the two-week-long shradh period considered inauspicious by Hindus.

The navratri period from Oct 16-23 is considered auspicious by the Hindus and could see changes in the government, said party sources.

Mr.Naveen D'souza, the circumstances today in potical circles made the respectful citizens of the nation made not to believe in any political parties.Yes as you said there are no ideal leaders in BJP to compare with Atalji. But in Congress too there are no viable leaders to cope up with situation and handle the matter to the benifit of its citizens.Corruption has become a way of life in politics and law of the land is in vulnerable situation.Dont you wonder how many people have been punished though there are magnanimous scams in the country in recent years except some petty thieves for pick pocketing!
Have you seen Rahul Gandhi speaking in debate on any matter of national interest ever? What we can expcet from him the so called future PM?
For the present day malady Manmohan Singh is solely responsible as the Head of the Nation but alas he is setting pretty tight to his seat as a spectator!Do you see any future for our nation with present set of leaders at disposal?

My self i am not supporting any party, but congi is the only party they can run the nation. BJP and other parties  never handle the nation for long term. if a bjp got man like Mr Atalji, may go to complete 5 years of term. other wise there is no such leader in opposition.
