London, Oct 18 (IANS): A woman in Britain was told she had cancer on her wedding day, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
The "baby" Lucy Duffy thought she was pregnant with turned out to be a tumour hours before making her vows.
But despite the bombshell news, Lucy, from Leeds, and her fiance Chris vowed to go ahead with their ceremony - keeping the cancer a secret from their guests, the daily said.
They promised to love each other in sickness and in health and now Lucy is responding so well to chemotherapy that the couple hope to try for a baby again soon.
