Anna Hazare to Launch new Anti-graft Team: Bedi

New Delhi, Oct 20 (IANS): After severing ties with India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal over the formation of a political party, veteran ant-corruption activist Anna Hazare Saturday decided to recast his core team that was disbanded a month ago.

Hazare's new team will comprise individuals known for integrity to take his anti-graft movement foward, said the activist's close aide and former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kiran Bedi here Saturday.

"Individuals, who are an institution themselves, be it retired civil servants, corporate honchos or artists, Anna is looking for a new inclusive core group with individuals, who are one call away from the powers that be but are known for their non-partisanship and are reformist by nature," Bedi said.

She also named three such individuals, whom Hazare may approach to be part of his new core committee.

The three are former army chief General V.K. Singh, who had raised his voice against corruption throughout his tenure; former Uttar Pradesh director general of police Prakash Singh, who filed a public interest litigation seeking police reforms to rid the service from political interference and got the order passed; and Bhure Lal, who enjoys the confidence of the Supreme Court for heading independent committees to examine social issues as a friend fo the court.

Hazare will convene the first core meeting of the new panel Nov 24 and 25, Bedi said.

"Anna is going to talk to these individuals and on the basis of their availability to be part of the movement against corruption. If they can join Anna's movement, they all will meet Nov 24 and 25," she said.

    1) Biggest problem is the current kichidi coalition pulling one to the mountain another to the plain field.
    2) The states are not willing to spend minimum/maximum election expenditures for the candidates so that the candidates may free from corrupt practices once they win from their constituencies.
    3) A candidate or the party will spend maximum amount of money to win election at any cost from his pocket or from the party. Consequences: from where did the candidate or the party bring hugely spent money?!
    4) Without favoring the businessmen can any party survive in the present scenario or contributions from the masses Possible?!
    5) No political party comes to consensus in the parliament for election reforms.
    6) Luring the voters with cash & materials such as TV, grinder, moonkuthi, sari, etc., etc., is a biggest error and easier way which leads a candidate to indulge in corruption.
    7) In the Grass root level political parties Agents are working for canvassing, who is paying money for their survival & daily wages.
    8) For canvassing a huge gathering on a private visit to the centenary inauguration of the temple & for party convention a huge amount of money is required. Who pays that expenditure? For example one or two business men will pay the expenditure but surely he will recover this amount from the party or from men through favors.
    a) All the above points were discussed in the parliament & a clear consensus has not been reached on the floor of the house to pass the bill.
    b) Even after with all above draw backs the UPA favored Lokpal Bill and passed the bill in the Lok Sabha & sent to Rajya Sabha. The majority headed by BJP in Rajya Sabha did not pass Lokpal bill.
There is a house tax for every citizen payable to the corporation. Half yearly or yearly. THIS HOUSE TAX IS BASED ON ONES HOUSE’S SELF-DECLARATION-VALUE. LOOK IN TO YOUR OWN HOUSE THOSE WHO ARE POINTING TOWARDS OTHERS HAVE THOSE GENUINELY D THE VALUATION & PAYING THE CORRECT TAX OR UNDERVALUED TAX.

unless and untill we don't reduce political parties in India.
    corruption will not stop.
    (1) main point is year, we have to fight for age limit in politics.?
more than 65 years no role in politicas then they have sit in the home, if any FIR filed against any politician he or she should be banned for election.
    (3) election time no banner, no painting in the road, no commerical add, ( only law have to permit 30 minutes speech in the tv.) that is only in the DD (foc)
then only we can bring corruption down.
many youngerster waiting for big role in indian politics. so pls. old politician pls. think about india and give chance to youngster so we can give fast and good service for our country.
