Abu Dhabi – Oct. 23: International Community School in Abu Dhabi held a day long exhibition “Kinder creations “ (Best out of Waste) at their premises recently.
Unique concepts, ideas and child-oriented activities have been the primary focus at the ICK. The school unveiled ‘Kinder Creations’, an exclusive art and craft exhibition based on the theme ‘Best out of waste’.
The event was a culmination of months of creative endeavour of both parents and teachers in preparing projects and designs apt for the theme and also topics pertaining to the curriculum.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. B. R. Shetty – MD & CEO of NMC Group of Companies in UAE) in the presence of distinguished guests, parents, teachers and well wishers.
The exhibition aimed at providing an insight how to make the best use of waste materials. It is a ground breaking collection of thrown away pieces and objects put together to make some useful items like vases, pen and pencil holders, photo frames and lot more which one could watch and admire.
The schools aim to believe in the three R’s Reduce, Reuse and Recycle which helps to cut down on the waste we throw away. Through creative recycling, ICK have managed to do their bit in saving the environment, which is emphasized to the tiny tots in their curriculum.
The day commenced with the welcome speech by Fahima Mariam – a student of Senior KG, followed by the inaugural ceremony. A creative bouquet of flowers made out of waste was presented to the Chief Guest by the kindergarten students Lakshya Mangal & Advika Shukla.
Sylvia Pais – the dynamic principal of the School briefed about the schools progress and the future plans and the efforts made by the school’s faculty in moulding the future of the young children.
Dr. Shetty appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers and parents to the current important universal issue of saving the environment around us. Later Dr. Shetty along with the dignitaries witnessed the amazing creations on display.
Large no. of visitors visited the creative exhibition throughout the day.
The efforts of the Principal and her vibrant band of teachers in demonstrating this unique educational exhibition is praise worthy .
