Advani Backs Gadkari but says No Immunity for Party on Graft

New Delhi, Oct 24 (PTI): Senior BJP leader L K Advani today backed party chief Nitin Gadkari saying he has come "clean" by asking for a probe on charges against him and said the party should not claim immunity on either scale or nature of the allegations.

"Nitinji has come clean by asking for an inquiry by the Department of Company Affairs," Advani said in a statement here on certain media allegations questioning investments in his family business.

He said the allegations against Gadkari were about "standards of business and not misuse of power or corruption" "I am of the view that the BJP should be different and should not claim immunity on either scale or nature of the allegations," he said.

Accusing the Government of trying to neutralise the "unprecedented" corruption charges against it by targeting Gadkari, Advani hoped there will be an impartial probe into the matter.

"I hope that the government inquiry will be fair and the government will not use its political hostility to the BJP to colour the inquiry," he said.

Advani lashed out at the UPA for trying to work a strategy to paint the entire political class with the same brush to minimise and escape its "unpardonable sins". He said the allegations against opposition leaders like Gadkari was an "off-shoot" of this.

Terming Gadkari's response to the government probe into his business investments as "fair and proper", Advani said, "This shows the difference in the BJP's attitude." He said one of the allegations of wrongdoing against Gadkari related to land issue which has been proved wrong according to media reports themselves.

He also congratulated Gadkari for "voluntarily" asking for a probe into the allegations of dubious funding in his companies. Advani lamented that the "monumental" corruption by the ruling UPA has "made the political class hang its head in shame".

Mr.Gadkari is another type of Bangaru Laxman previous Prsident of BJP.I has always doubt about this guy specially when there was report on enormous amount of spending for thee grand marrigae of his first son. Then Gadkari supporting Yediyurappa for all his deeds. His body language speaks what he is.He should quit BJP/Presidentship.That is apt.The karnamas ofGdkari is also a blot on Mohan Bhagavat RSS Chief who has ed the young guy(immatured) to BJP Presidentship.Presidentship should not be given to young but only tested matured leaders like Murali Manohar,Joshi,Advaniji,Rajnath Singh etc.,Gadkari has disgraced RSS/Mohan Bhagavat.

    ' Double Standards' can indeed
be a 'hit' drink , soft or spiited given the present scenario.
Are some people more equal than others? One fact all of us must know is that top notch 'politicos' think so. Time to bring them down to earth with a thud.Nobody can give anybody a 'clean chit' nowadays. All of them have to be taken to the cleaners in the same bandwagon....

How the corruption had been developed???!!!

Blame not politicians. Blame the citizens/ourselves.

Citizens love to give corruption to accomplish their job.

The receiver loves to take corruption because the giver is tempting to receive corruption.

    Why do you give corruption???!!!

Stop giving corruption. Dry the corrupt person.

I BLAME THE CITIZENS FOR THEIR LUST FOR LUXURIOUS, AND SELFISHNESS.

Corruption will never stop unless every citizens stay in Q and bear patience.

MAKE A LAW TO PUNISH BOTH THE GIVER AND TAKER.

It is quite evident that Mr. Gadkari is involved in corrupt practices. What Mr. Kejriwal said is 100% true that all political parties helping each other in corruption. Mr. Gadkari is made money with the support of Cong/NCP government in Maharastra. Why Mr. Sharad Pawar is giving clean chit to Gadkari? Why can't Maharastra & Central Govt order independent enquiry on this case when Gadkari himself is demanding it? The truth is any enquiry will open the pandora box and it will be a big embarassment for both Cong/NCP& BJP/Shivsena.

As I told many times the only solution to stop corruption is Janlokpal bill, Independent CBI and fast track judiciary on corruption cases. Otherwise we fools will keep on watching breaking news every day " One more Scam", " Allegation Against XXX", " Clean Chit for XXX", " Zero Loss", " Ready for any probe", " I am Innocent", etc etc. Based on this news Jossy, Ismail, Jude etc will keep supporting congress. Rakesh, Rajesh, Dinesh, Nagesh keep supporting BJP. Mean time India is getting distroyed day by day. No one thinks about the country!.

One simple question where is SC? how supreme court keep its eyes closed when countries image is getting spoiled day by day? Why only politicians and Industrialists getting rich day by day? Why SC cant order sumoto enquiry into all these scams? Solve the cases immediately. Put guilty and those who make false allegation behind bars! At this moment the only hope left is SC and IAC(provided they remain clean) When we tried all political parties, there is no harm in giving one chance to IAC.

Advaniji why then Asked Yeddy to resign?
Why u couldn't wait till the Judgment proving Yeddy Guilty of Corruption?
    Why Double standards?
You asked the following to resign_
    Shashi Tharoor
    Kalmadi,
    Raja,
    Manmohan Singh,
    Sheila Dikshith etc.
When your own President who every one except you knew was corrupt, otherwise as soon as he became minister his ascendancy started Dramatically with 15 companies within 17 years, in non existent locations with Fake Directors who invested in his companies crores!
How come a past driver accumulate crores to become a Director & invest in Gadkari's Companies!?
Astrologer living in a small apartment investing crores in his company after he was d a Director of his company!
Nearly 6 people lived in Chawls, & still had crores to invest!
Gadkari never throw stones at others when you have more to hide than you hope to expose!
Morality should be Equal for all in Public Service, Resign & Prove you are Clean, never try to hold on to "Gaddhi" just like Yeddy.

It is wrong to justify someone else's actions without knowing the truth. Advani is losing his credibility for no reason by supporting his corrupt colleague.
