Kasargod: Lorry Driver Killed in Accident, Cleaner Escapes Unhurt

Kasargod, Nov 4:
A lorry driver died on the spot after he lost control of the vehicle and fell into a gorge near Kumbale Shiriya, here, on Saturday November 3 afternoon.
 
The deceased has been identified as P Siddiq (36) resident of Vaniyambala Malappuram.

Cleaner Zubai (33) had a lucky escape.

The lorry loaded with sugar bags was plying from Mangalore to Kozhikode. The accident occurred when he tried to overtake a car and was about to hit a bus that was approaching in the opposite direction. The driver lost control after he failed to negotiate and fell into the gorge.

Though fire squad personnel and locals tried to rescue the driver but he succumbed to injuries. The body is moved to Kasargod General Hospital.

Kumbale police registered the case.

    Innlillai....why this drivers make a overtake ? incident coming every were any time. but their careless also very imported here..why should not thinking about all this.....
