Karkala, Nov 4: University Wing of Dakshina Bharath Hindi Prachar Sabha Madras awarded doctorate research degree to Ashok Clifford D’Souza, for his thesis titled ‘Bhairav Prasad Gupt ke Upanyas – Ek Adhyayan.’ 

He prepared the thesis under the guidance of Dr N P Narayana Shetty, associate professor and HOD of Hindi department, Bhandarkar’s Degree College Kundapur.

Prior to this research degree he has secured MPhil minor research degree from Madurai Kamaraj University with first class. He secured MA in Kannada and MA in English with high second class. He had also passed PG diploma in Konkani and English.  In his teaching subject Hindi, he has passed Rashtra Bhasha Praveena, Hindi Ratna and Hindi Bhasha Praveena.

He is working as a Hindi lecturer in Venkataramana Women’s College, Karkala for last 15 years. 

He belongs to St Maria Goretti Church, Hirgan, Karkala taluk.
 
He is the son of Late John Dsouza and Nelli D’Souza of Kukkundoor, Karkala Taluk.
