Bangalore: Lalrokhuma Pachau Appointed DG-IGP of State

Bangalore, Nov 7: DGP Lalrokhuma Pachau has been appointed the new DG and IGP of state. The post was lying vacant for the past five months.

The committee headed by home minister R Ashok and law minister Suresh Kumar made the appointed on Tuesday November 6.

In the meeting, five senior officials like Lalrokhuma Pachau, Sushanth Mahapathra, Rupak Kumar Datta, Umapathi, Om Prakash were nominated for the post but the selection committee appointed Lalrokhuma Pachau considering his excellent track record.

The selection committee has also recommended the appointment to the chief minister.
