Mangalore: Man Arrested for Stealing Iron Rods

Mangalore, Nov 9: Police have arrested a man who stole iron rods which was meant for the construction of panchayat commercial building near bus stop in Bajpe on Thursday November 8.

The arrested has been identified as Girish Shetty (37) from Soorinje who is a contractor by profession.

On November 6, he is said to have stolen 900 kgs of iron rods worth Rs 45,000.

Police arrested Girish near the Bajpe bus stop on November 8 morning. They have seized the iron rods along with a pick up van.

A case has been registered by contractor Mohammed Haneef at Bajpe police station.
