Mangalore, Nov 12: “Students should abstain from following western culture and lead a traditional life style by concentrating on their academics and aim at their future professional career to combat the stress”, opined Karnataka legislative council member Capt Ganesh Karnik.

He was addressing the final year engineering students after inaugurating ‘Beat the Stress’, a stress management workshop organized by Campus Interview Training Solutions jointly with Rotary Club of Mangalore Central on Sunday November 11 at Hotel Ocean Pearl, here.

He also urged the students that, student’s life career is a beautiful atmosphere involved journey and the students should face the hurdles and challenges in-between and complete the journey successfully.

President of Rotary Club of Mangalore Central Rtn Dr Sureshchandra Shetty in his address revealed that the workshop is organized as a part of their vocational service project and the aim and objective is to relieve the stress of the students and the participants should avail maximum benefit from this session.

Dean of Shree Devi Institute of Technology Rtn Dr K E Prakash and NRI Industrialist Rtn Elias Sanctis were the guests of honour on the occasion.

Professor K Dasharathraj Shetty, faculty of Manipal Institute of Technology and assistant professor of Shree Devi Institute of Technology Rtn Ananth Prabhu participated as resource persons and enlightened the participants.

CITS director Er Raghav Shetty welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.

Nikhil Pai compered the programme. About 150 final year engineering students representing various engineering colleges of the district participated actively in this workshop.
