Bantwal: Yakshamitraru Group Felicitates Yakshagana Artistes, Holds Training

Bantwal, Nov 13: A felicitation programme for Yakshagana achievers organized by Yakshamitraru was held in Thumbe Higher Primary School here on Monday November12. Free drawing and Yakshagana training classes were also inaugurated on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering he said, "Creative activities are needed to boost interest among children in arts. Children's personality develops through art."

A Shivappa Poojary, retired superintedent of Teachers Training Association, felicitated Yakshagana artiste Chandrahasa Thumbe , Yakashagana organizer Sudhakar Thumbe, and member of Karnataka Yakashagana Bayallata Sarapadi Ashok Shetty.

Shivappa Poojary said that art makes a man's personality complete. "An artiste gets value only after he understands the value of art and sticks to it. Art endures only through organized efforts," he added.

Amateur artist Prabhakar Suvarna Dubai, ZP member, Yakshagana trainer U Padmanabha Mater, drawing and painting trainer Dinesh Holla, Grampanchaya Dinesh Rai, Praveen B Thumbe, district Journalist Association vice-president Venkatesh Bantwal, school headmaster Babu master, Jaganath Bellare, Ramesh Kulasheakar, Keshava, Monappa Majji, Prakash Shetty Thumbe and Ganesh Suvaran were present on the occasion.

Sadashiva Thumbe welcomed the gathering. Yakshamitraru organizer Sudhakar Thumbe proposed the vote of thanks. Gopal Anchan compered the programme.
