Iran Tests Missile Defence System

Tehran, Nov 14 (IANS): Iran has successfully tested its Hawk missile defence system, a media report said Tuesday.

The test was part of an on going military exercise carried out by the army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Xinhua quoted the Fars news agency as saying.

Commander of Khatam al-Anbia air defence base Farzad Esmaili told reporters that a large number of missiles will be tested.

The seven-day large-scale joint maneuver, launched Monday, is to test combat their preparedness.
