FDI in Retail Disrupts both Houses

New Delhi, Nov 23 (IANS): Both houses of parliament were adjourned till 12 noon Friday as differences continued over the issue of foreign investment in multi-brand retail.

The Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, which witnessed disruptions on the first day of the winter session Thursday before being adjourned for the day, saw ruckus Friday too as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and the Trinamool Congress continued their protest for the second consecutive day.

The opposition stalled proceedings, pressing for a vote on the issue of foreign investment in retail.
