Bangalore: Ponnappa Takes Over as State Media Academy Chief

Bangalore, Nov 23: Senior sports journalist M A Ponnappa, Sports Editor of Prajavani Kannada Daily, has assumed charge as chairman of the Karnataka Media Academy in Bangalore on Friday.

Director of State Information Department N R Vishu Kumar garlanded and presented a shawl to mark Ponnappa’s assumption of office.

The State Government issued the Government Order on the appointment of Ponnappa.

The term of Ponnappa is for a period of three years.

Ponnappa has held key posts in the Press Club of Bangalore as its General Secretary and President in the past. He also a key member of the Sports Writers Association of Bangalore.
