Mangalore, Nov 25: Confraternity Sunday was celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church, Moodferar on behalf of its centenary celebrations on Sunday December 25.

Dr Pius D’Souza OCD was the main celebrant for the day. During homily he forwarded the following message, “The centre of Christian faith is Jesus. And faith will be fruitful only when combined with good deeds. We carry the faith from our forefathers and the same should be forwarded to our children.”

After mass the Pirgents of the parish fest were honoured with varsby the parish priest Dr Pius F Pinto. All the 13 ward gurkars were given parish flags.

The mass ended with holy Eucharistic procession lead by Fr Roshan Rosario, Cap.
 
Thereafter the drinking water facility donated by Placid Rasquinha and family in memory of his son Late Floyd Rasquinha was inaugurated by Placid and Fiona Rasquinha. Fr Roshan Rosario blessed the occasion.

With refreshments morning celebrations are looking forward for the centenary rally and inter-religious meet in the evening.
