Udupi: Youth of Pilar - Shirva Celebrate Fourth Annual Day with 'Yuva Utsav'

Udupi, Nov 26: The Young Christian Students (YCS) of Pilar, Shirva celebrated their 4th annual day with an enterntaining 'Yuva Utsav' here on Sunday November 25.

Fr Stany Tauro, parish priest of Shirva parish presided over the function. He lauded the efforts of the youth, the Salesian Community and the people of Pilar for creating a platform to nurture the talents of the young and the old alike. He urged the young to dream big in life and make use of every opportunity that comes their way.



























Fr Edwin Correia, YCS director of Mangalore diocese was the chief guest. While congratulating the youth and their parents for promoting YCS, he reminded that its main thrust is the formation of youngsters.

Fr Maxim D'Souza, director of the Youth of Pilar appreciated the commitment, leadership and spiritual orientation of youngsters. He thanked the Pilarites for patronizing such initiatives.

Fr Navin D'Souza, Fr Augustine Fernandes, Arvin D' Souza, Valerian Machado, Vanessa D'Souza, YCS president and Veena Nazareth, YCS secretary were present on the dais.

Hilarious value-based skits by elders and remix dances of the young provided a dash of cultural extravaganza. The main attraction of the day, 'Problema Voir Problem', a comedy play written by Claud D'souza, Bendur and enacted by budding youngsters of Pilar proved to be a fantastic entertainer.

    Deae Fr Maxim and all the Parishoners of Pilar and especially the youth Congratulations to all of you for your wonderful performence at Pilar Youth Festival.It is a great opportunity to the budding youth to exhibit their talents.By this way we can keep our youthfold close to the Church and that they inculcate Christian values which will go long way in their life.All the best youth keep it up.You are an example to all the Parishes though you are yet to be a Parish.
