Mangalore: Global Learning at Lourdes Central School

Mangalore, Nov 30: International School Award (ISA) is a global benchmarking project by British Council that recognizes the outstanding work done by schools that are committed to develop international learning in the curriculum to help young learners become effective global citizens. 

Lourdes Central School, Mangalore has been officially authorized for ‘outstanding development of international dimension in the curriculum’. 

LCS is the only school from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts to get this prestigious and highly reputed International School Award for 2012-2015.

Martin Davidson CMG, British Council’s Chief executive lauded every effort and achievement of LCS with his words of appreciation. 

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, principal received this award in a glittering ceremony held in the auditorium of Taj President Hotel, Mumbai on November 19 where representatives from all over India were present.

Rob Lynes, director of British Council of India gave a clarion call to reach unattainable goals by great enthusiasm and good challenge. 

Harshitha Shetty worked as the ISA coordinator to prepare the dossier for the International School Award.  It was the team effort of the staff of LCS that caused to achieve this reputed ISA award.

    Congratulation to the Principal and the staff members for achieving the honors.Till last year the school had British council international school exchange collaboration. But this has not continued. A similar collaboration in the following years will go a long way. All the best
