Mangalore, Dec 1: The annual sports day of St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel, here was held on Friday November 30.
Rohan Monteiro, chairman of ‘Rohan Corporation’, managing director of Property Infra Tech India Pvt Ltd, director of ‘Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd inaugurated the programme.
Fr Andrew D’Souza, joint secretary of the school and the parish priest of Bondel Parish presided over the function.
Fr Patrick Sequeira, assistant parish priest of Bondel Parish and Rudy Pinto, vice president of parish parishad council of Bondel Parish were the chief guests of the function.
Monica Pinto, headmistress of the school welcomed the gathering.
The students were awarded for their performances in various sports activities. The active and smart students put forth their drills in various forms.
Fr Andrew D’Souza blessed the occasion with a message ‘to grow as wholesome persons’.
Focusing on the meaning of the day Fr Patrick Sequeira, stressed on sports and games and conveyed a message on leadership.
Rohan Monterio urged the students to put forth their interest in physical activities.
Rudy Pinto spoke on balancing mental and physical abilities through sports and games.
