Karnataka Rajyotsava Day Celebrated in Jeddah

Jeddah, Dec 2: Expatriates from southern state of India, Karnataka recently celebrated 57th day of their state formation as Rajyotsava day, here, at Indian consulate premises.

Pranav Ganesh Consul consular graced the function of Karnataka NRI forum as chief guest while Vishwanath Hegde chief patron of the forum attended as guest of honour.

President of the forum Mohammed Mansour in his welcome speech requested all the Kannadigas to come forward and join to provide a helping hand to poor in in Karnataka.

Profile presentation of Karnataka NRI forum was done by Vasu Manchegowda, general secretary of the forum in which he explained the aims and objects, future plans and highlighted the achievements of the forum since its establishment.

Pranav Ganesh appreciated the social activities of Karnataka residents towards their state community here in Saudi Arabia and in India.

Children enjoyed the games organized by the forum while other audience enjoyed the mute play, dances performed by school students and all time favorite Kannada and Hindi songs sung by Kaleem, Saif and Rehana. 

Quiz competition by Niyaz, dances choreographed by Roshan and Sabu Chandran got enthusiastic response from the audience.

Revised website  www.knriforumjeddah.com was launched during the function which was designed by Alok Pattar.

Nasir Khursheed proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with national anthem.
