Udupi: Students Take out Jatha to Mark World Aids Day

Udupi, Dec 2:
A jatha was carried out to mark the World Aids Day organized jointly by Kaup Vidyaniketan Education Institution Group, Red Ribbon Club and Kaup Rotary Club was inaugurated by Anatharaj Charitable Trust convener K P Acharya here on Saturday November 1.
 
Speaking on the occasion he said that every educational institution has the onus of spreading awareness on HIV AIDS.

He stated that in order to educate, the institution has been observing World AIDS day for PU, degree, nursing, primary and high schools students. He added there is need for creating widespread awareness among youth of this fatal disease. He called upon the students not to succumb to any bad habits and thereby create a healthy society.
 
Students of Vidyaniketan Institution staged street plays to educate the people in the society.

V K Udyavar, principal, James D’Souza, Rotary Club president, Vidyadhar Puranik, Preethi among others were present.
