Dublin: Konkan Ireland Group Brings in Christmas Joy

Dublin, Dec 13: Konkan Ireland Group (KIG) 2012 celebrated christmas with splendor and solemnity on the December 9 at the parish center of the Nativity of our Lord Church, Beaumont, Dublin, Ireland.

The day commenced with a beautiful Eucharistic celebration by Fr Dennis Sandham and Fr Jayan. During mass beautiful hymns and carols sung by the enthusiastic KIG Choir group.

 

After which there was food and entertainment. The programme began with a welcome speech by Jacintha D' Costa. There was variety of cultural programmes  both by the kids and adults to entertain the crowd present.

 “Kuswar” was an attraction for young and old bringing back the nostalgic memories of the homeland. ''Kuswar'' was brought by many families from the group to share their love and joy of Christmas.

A delicious lunch was served. The report for the year 2012 was presented by Teresa D'Souza. Santa presented christmas gifts for all children. The ance floor was open to all and DJ by Ajith Sequiera.

New office bearers were elected for Konkan Ireland (KIG)2013 and they are as follows: President Ashok Cutinha, Secretary Sarita Tauro and cultural secretaries Rosita Lobo and Cajjithan.

The programme was compered by Maria. The attendees enjoyed the day and wished the new committee members.
