Modi Practises Politics of Anger: Rahul Gandhi

Bhuj (Gujarat), Dec 15 (IANS): Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Saturday accused Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of practising "politics of anger" and said it was time people switched to the power of "love" preached by Mahatma Gandhi for the state's progress.

"When my grandmother (Indira Gandhi) and father (Rajiv Gandhi) died, I had a lot of angst in me. Anger makes a person blind. I was like a blind man. But when I followed Gandhiji's path of love and kept anger aside, I started seeing things clearly. Your chief minister still has a lot of anger inside him," Rahul Gandhi said while addressing a rally here.

"You (the people of Gujarat) are full of love. You have your own dreams and it is you who run this state, the historical past of here has been of love, which is there in your hearts that you have expressed and have shown also. There should be a government in this state which has love," he added.

He also questioned the Gujarat government's claim that the Narmada river water had reached every household of the state. "I am asking you today; do you have water in your homes?" he asked, to which the assembled crowd said a resounding "no".

He added that nearly 14,000 Right to Information (RTI) queries were pending in Gujarat. The Lokayukta could not be appointed in the state as "one man" did not want it.

This was Rahul Gandhi's third state tour ahead of the second phase of polling in Gujarat Dec 17. Sixty-eight per cent voting was recorded in the first phase of polling Dec 13.

Dear Rahulji, only one thing is common between you and Modi is both are none corrupt till date. But the main difference between you & Modi is, for you corruption life is no more required because your ancestor accumulated the wealth so much that it will last for your next few generations but Modi doesn’t want corruption life because he is the really follower of RSS principle. Now, come back to Lokayukta appointment, will you please ensure that all Congress ruled States appoints Lokayukta with immediate effect so that we can tackle all other States follows the same principle? Regarding 14,000 RTI Application Pending in Gujarat States, can you please go back to Congress appointed President’s Office to press for clearing the 14 “Death Penalty Mercy Petitions” still pending for action for last few years? It’s easy to show fingers at others, but look at the mirror at least once in a daily basis, so that it shows your real live picture to teach you moral. Just adopting the “Gandhi” surname will not make you “Mahatma” It is good that Mahatma is not any more with us else he would have committed suicide after seeing your Congress Functionality

Modi is angry with useless and corrupt congress people. Not with the common man.

Before questioning about Lokayuktha in GUJARATH, you go and pass LOKPALL bill in cabinet, for which 100 crores people are waiting eagerly.

And last but not the least: There is a school near Kankanady for mentally retarded people. Please come and join this school to complete 10th standard. So that you are eligible for PA (not PM) post.
