Mangalore: Miscreants Pelt Stones at Three Mosques in Taluk

Sunil Haleangady
Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Dec 17: In what was termed by the locals as an attempt to disrupt peace, a group of miscreants on Monday December 17 pelted stones and bottles at three mosques in the taluk.

Karnad Juma Masjid near Mulky, Kulai Badriya Masjid and Mukka Juma Masjid were attacked by the miscreants in the early hours of Monday, at around 1.30 am.

The miscreants pelted stones and damaged the window panes on the first floor of the Karnad mosque. Luckily, no injuries were reported as the mosque was empty at the time of the attack.

It is said that Karnad mosque has been attacked twice earlier, but the culprits have not been caught.

Mulky circle inspector Basheer Ahmed rushed to the spot with his team and began spot investigation.

It is learnt that evidence has been found to confirm that stones were brought in a gunny sack and thrown at the mosque from the road.

Mulky town panchayat member Puttubava arrived at the spot and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Similarly, Juma Masjid in Mukka and Badriya Masjid and Kulai also were damaged.

It is suspected that the same people planned and carried out all the three attacks.

District president of Congress minority unit Moidin Bava visited the mosques. Terming the incidents as an attempt to disrupt harmony in the vicinity, he urged the police to bring the culprits to book at the earliest.

Yes I am affected by the treachery of the RSS in the name of Lord Ram.

It is a terrorist establishment of India and they project themselves as a Hindutva extermists. We Hindus don't need such establishment to represent us. Dharma don't need any self proclaimed goons.

Regarding its political connection... Why all the Big Jokers Party leaders run to the leaders of the RSS and why the RSS gives instructions to the BJP if it is not involved in the politics.

    Please get your facts straight.

    People,

There is a pattern about these stone throwing,,, either church or Mosque...stones are taken by these miscreants with them...so this is a premeditated act.

If Dr.KP Bhat is subjected to a polygraph test,,,truth is likely to come out...but BJP Govt is afraid to touch him because he is their Mentor and idiologue.

These type of activities will bring bad name to the ruling party,,, whoever doing this are definitely doing this for some ulterior motives.

Some day these charecters will be exposed and justice will be served to these thugs....

Remember M'lore was once called for its religious tolerance which is now fading away....

We are now in 21st century, we should be united as one but sadly we are divided in our own villages/cities and communities..

devide and rule policy of congi is succeded since independence to attain the power in central and state - Jeevan Mangalore.

Jeevan, get your facts right. Who attacked churches in Mangalore? Definitely not congress. Chruches were attacked by those fanatics affiliated to BJP. Who attacked pub in Mangalore? Definitely not congress. Pub goers were attacked by fanatics affiliated to BJP. Who attacked unarmed women and men at home stay attack? This attack too was conducted by fanatic organisation which is affiliated to BJP. BJP is the source for all religious hatred started by L.K. Advani through "Ram Janmbhoomi Campaign" in order to come to power. Ram does't need any temple built of blood shed. Ram is man of peace. If he is alive today, he would have asked people not to build any temple at Ayodhya. Humanity is most important. What is the use of building so many temples with bloodshed?

It should be made mandatory for all religious institutions and places of worship to install surveillance CCTV's with Night Vision to catch the real culprits. If Hindus , Muslims, Christians and other religions can afford crores of rupees in establishing places of worship, I am sure they can afford few thousands by installing CCTV's to protect them.

I just want to inform the Sanghis here that divide and rule is the policy of the RSS since its inception. History serves as a proof to us. The RSS is aware of the fact that it will never be in the power in Karnataka due to the corruption & rebels. They only remember Lord Ram & Hindu Samajosatv during the elections.
Recently, RSS goons hoisted the Pakistani flag in Sindagi and kept the cow’s head in a temple in Hyderabad. These dimwits will stoop to any level to disrupt the peace & serenity of the society.

The culprits of the Church attacks are still Scot free, their godfather Kalladka Bhat still dares the police department to nab him. An RSS thug admitted in North India that he & his goons disguised as Christians & Muslims during the riots to blame the communities.

Also the localites, should not give much fodder for media & visiting politicians who try to fish now in these troubled waters. Local heads should have a peace meet and amicably solve the situation adn do not sensationalise this issue with the Media and political parties. If unconcerned politicians from any party come to the scene and start thier usual accuse matra, please shut the doors like the way Jacinta Saldhana family did and tell them that like minded lcoal people can ease the situation themselves, if they want to do something let them pressure the Police Dept to catch the culprits ASAP and prevent future such repeatations. I also believe unless we have CCTV coverage in and around religious places, its difficult for the police also to catch the culprits because like Mushrooms they sprout suddenly somewere and and catch you unexpected. Culprtis cought creating cummunal disharmoney needs to be booked with a strong IPC and gadipaar them from their local areas with a shoot at sight warning if they are seen again.

Time for matured understanding the situation & peace call by the religious heads and clarify the stands in Mukka & Mulki reagions, that majority almost 99% like minded communal harmony seeking people from all the sects do not want to invite such tense situations to prevail. I hope the Police catch the culprts and punish them in way they should remember it for their life time. Please dont blame each other religion or parties you support thatr they did this first and we will do it next etc etc. The vested instrests who did this just to divert some other issues or due to election fever. I suggest Hindhu's in the region join hands with the Muslim brothers and clarify that nobody wants communal disharmony in the region, why am saying this is beacuse the obvious target now for acqusitions will be Hindhu's , the local groups of leaders who may be associated with BJP, BD or SRS, & weather they did this or not, the police has to investigate thoroughly without succumbing to any political pressures.

Dear brother,To bring communal harmony, there must be harmony in the minds of the people. Mental revolution among people, considering the fellow citizens as brethren is essential to bring peace in the country.. The communal harmony is spoiled by religious leaders by giving provocative speeches and spitting venom on other communities.
To maintain peace first of all Government should ban all type of provocative speech by religious leaders, irrespective of religion. Government should appoint a community having members from all communities, who will be present in all religious meetings samajotsava etc .
Again role of police in communal riots has always been a highly controversial issue. It is quite natural all human beings will have soft corner towards their own community, hence police force should have representation of all communities to the ratio of their population.

Ring leaders are behind the scene.. only paid people carry out the attack. True culprits must be hiding and have political patronage...Whatever the party or affiliation, these goons must be taught a lesson. Communual riots means loss of lives, loss of properties, loss of places of worship, loss of hope of security and justice, promotion of hatred and murder of peace and tranquility, its biggest crime and must be punished.
