Kuwait, Dec 20: KKMA-Karantaka Wing of Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association (KKMA), the largest charitable organization of Indians nationals in Kuwait elected Abdul Hameed Mulki as new president for its Karantaka Wing for next two-year term (2013 – 2014) during a general body meeting held under the supervision of C. Firoz, Election officer of KKMA held at the KKMA Community Hall, Jleeb Shuwaikh recently.
The general body meeting started with a recitation of Quran by Master Anas Mohammed, Vice President of Karantaka Wing and the Central Committee B.M Iqbal delivered the welcome address and highlighted various charitable achievements and specialty of KKMA and its member’s benefits.
KKMA chairman Sageer Trikaripur has inaugurated the official launch of the Karantaka-Wing and in his inaugural speech highlighted the contribution of KKMA in community service and social welfare activities and mentioned that KKMA has contributed close to 10 Crore Indian rupees for the past 10 years for the various social service projects; he also applauded the contribution of KKMA Karantaka Wing in strengthening the KKMA and branded as the Model Branch.
An annual report was presented by Mabiya Adam detailing 3 years activities of the branch committee. The comprehensive finance report presented by Sayed Rafik, General Secretary of DK Branch was a solid evident for KKMA’s remarkable benefit programs and positive contribution to the society at large including the 2 charitable dialysis Centers actively serving the poor patient in Mangalore.
During the program the outgoing President S. M Basheer appreciated the visionary Leadership of KKMA and particularly thanked the Karnataka Wing’s working team for their hard work and Parivaar approach. he also presented the “Why KKMA” the power point slides which shows why KKMA is the largest social welfare organization, its contribution to the society and the success story.
The newly elected President Abdul Hameed Mulki in his opening address highlighted the opportunity provided by KKMA for charity work and requested the people of Karanataka to join KKMA to extend the service throughout Karantaka.
The Branch also felicitated the members Syed Ahmed Byari, Sheikh Mohamed Azhar, Ayub Surinje, Ashraf Ullal, Aboobaker Tumbe, Aboobaker Kadambu, Abdul Aziz Ghouze, Yusuf Rasheed, Samad Jabriya, Nazeer B.A, Mohamed Yusuf Muniyam, Ramlan Batrathota, Faisal Mohamed Beary, Imsail Omar, Syed Zakariya, Nassar Puthyaveetil, Shioor Team for their excellent contribution to the community work.
Special memento was given to B.M Iqbal, Sayed Rafik and S.M Basheer for their excellent leadership.
In their felicitation speeches KKMA Vice Chairman N A Muneer, CFO Ali Matra and CIGI International Coordinator Munawer highlighted the need of unity and work for a betterment of a society, also mentioned the significant contribution of the KKMA Karnataka Wing.
KKMA central committee leaders Abdul Fatah, A.P Salam, Ibrahim Kunnil, K.Basheer,, K.C Rafiq, Muneer Kodi, Razak Meladi, Ahmed Kallai and other leaders from 15 branches were present.
The program was attended by a large number of members and guests; the meeting concluded with the vote of thanks by Faisal Mohammed Beary
