Fog in Agra doesn't Deter Tourists

Agra, Dec 23 (IANS): Despite a foggy Sunday, holiday crowds are swelling in the Taj city ahead of Christmas celebrations.

Agra's main churches -- St Peter's, St Mary's, St George's, Baptist and Methodist -- have all been spruced and lit up.

The night temperature had dipped close to 6 degrees Celsius.

Anticipating a big rush in Agra, the approach to the Taj Mahal from the Yamuna Expressway has been cleared.

Additional forces have been deployed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, an official said.

The 17th century Taj Mahal monument is India's biggest draw.
