Four Killed in Russian Apartment Fire

Moscow, Dec 27 (IANS): At least four people were killed and six hospitalised after a fire broke out in an apartment building in Russian city of St. Petersburg.

Authorities were investigating the causes of the fire which occurred in one of St. Petersburg's converted Soviet-era communal apartment complexes, Xinhua reported Wednesday.

While arson could not be ruled out initially, problems with old electrical and gas networks seem more probable.
