Rape Laws will be Made More Stringent: Shinde

New Delhi, Dec 29 (IANS): Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde Saturday mourned the death of the young gang-rape victim in Singapore and promised to enact "more stringent laws" to prevent such crime.

"Her death will not go in vain," the minister said in a message. "There will be maximum punishment for the accused. This incident is a lesson (for all us)."

He said that rape laws in the country would be made more stringent in order to prevent such incidents.

The victim was raped in a moving bus in Delhi Dec 16 by six males, including a suspected juvenile, and dumped to die by a roadside after 40 minutes. She was shifted to Singapore Thursday.

    More Stringent. When...????? ( OORU KOLLE HODA MELE KOTE BAGILU HAKIDARU ).....

    Please amend the IPC ( at least copy the law from Foreign countries )

    Amended law should be as follows.

    1.Attempt of Rape : 15 Jail PLUS 25 Lashes ( specially to below waist/backside)

    2.Rape : 25 Years Jail, (NO parole/Pardon from GUV/Govt ), 25 lashes PLUS 25 Lac compensation from accused. OR 35 Year Jail without Parole )

    4.Rape and Murder : 50 Lashes , Death Penaly PLUS 25 Lac compensation from accused

    5.Eve teasing/Molestation : 25 Lashes , 10 Year Jail

    • No Bail at any cost for accused
    • Seize everything from accused and arrange it give victim / if he doesn’t have anything then remove his body parts to donate
    • Death Penalty for the accused ASAP
