New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS): One of the three men, who allegedly wanted to plant bombs at the house of the prime accused in Dec 16 gang-rape case, was arrested here Monday, police said.

Ram Singh's house

"One person has been held. Two crude bombs were recovered from him," said a police official.

Police received a call around 6 p.m. that three youth were found loitering around the accused's house in Ravidas slum cluster in south Delhi's R.K. Puram area and had threatened to blow it up.

"When the residents asked what they were doing there, they said they have come to blow up the house of Ram Singh," said the official.

"While one was overpowered by the crowd, two managed to escape," the official said, adding he was being questioned.

Ram Singh was the driver of the bus on which the 23-year-old woman was brutally tortured and raped. She died in a Singapore hospital Saturday.

    Ismail K Perinje,

Be it Delhi or Bangalore attrocities on our own sisters cannot be accepted. Read my second comment clearly. Net sufferers are women. Can we be happy when our neighbour mourns ? Need of the hour is strict law & its enforcement. Present Law goes with Mahatma Gandhiji sayings 'even if 10 culprits escape, 1 innocent should be never punished'. Set aside the politcal matters, & insist for clearcut law which can secure our Women's safety interest.

I do not support a violence on innocents.

Torching or bombing of their house and killing the innocent relatives is not the answer to the brutal crime. The last and final punishment to all the six, including the 18 years old, should be nothing shorter than death and mere death and that too within three months.

I have already submitted 10 suggestions (my views)to Justice Verma Commission to help amend the criminal laws to provide punishment to criminals against the sexual assault on women.

This kind of mindless action spoils chances of justice. It is true that the rapists deserve much harsher punishment than this, that is bombing his house. But no one shall take law into one's hand and kill other innocent people at the rapist's house, like his father, mother and sisters, if any.

Completely agree with you Dinesh. No harm should be done to others. Really feel pity for the family of these rapists. They will suffer till they die. Poor souls. Yesterday I read somewhere the comments from rapists father and mother. Mother said the rapist cannot call her as mom. Hope we will have strict laws against rapists, criminals and also the corrupt. Hope the promises made by government does not remain only promises..

It is not right to put bomb in rape culprit's house and blast it. As you know a bomb can take away many lives of his family and surroundings people and damage others & public property in large.

Ram Sigh is rapist and he should be killed. But no fault of his parents, wife and children right? Blasting a bomb at his house can lead to serious consequences.

If anyone want to kill him, they should make sure no harm to others.

That is what I wanted to say..!!

    Mohandas Kapikad,

Banaglore City stands first in entire South India with regarding to rape? That also with in years time!!!!

India is fourth leading country in the world with regarding to atrocities against women!! We are just in front from Somalia and that three countries are
    1)Afagan
    2)Pakistan
    3)Republic of Congo!!!!
    FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION
we are throwing acid to the faces of women unfortunately if she did not agree to marry
We are the people who are scanning before delivery to see whether it is a female to terminate
We are the people who are killing children up on delivery by giving poisonous herbs if that child is female(TN)
We are the people who are gang raping beating even animal
we are the people who dousing Kerosene to burn live if she not able to fulfill exact dower

But, it is never Delhi or Banagalore, or BJP/Congress Govt or Death for rape law to bring about civilized society.Every home and perhaps every male individual when think female is an(not Commodity)DEVI,MOTHER,SISTER..then
only we can change the society. After infamous rape episode of Delhi, how many rape cases are reported in India? I think in Karnataka alone more than dozen!!!

    Dear Mohandas Kapikad,

Same system applies in GULF countries and that’s the reason crime rates are very less here. I am in SAUDI since many years and the RULER of SAUDI didn’t even spare his own nephew who had raped a woman. He was sentenced to death with no mercy.

The arrested must be enquired with severe action and his driving licence must be impounded and cancelled besides he has to put behind bars and death sentence ordered through court immediately and should not spend several crores for his jail treatment as done in case of Ajmal Kasab

I have heard that in Singapore, Women Rights are highly protected. Any accused as in this case would be severely dealt with, as the Law of Land is strict. Perhaps the need of the hour is such Stict Law, & its proper enforcement, speedy Court Trial, etc. Political party's should keep aside their political agenda & should insist for ammendments in our Constitution, so that Women's Rights are protected, Women's are assured of their Safety. Perhaps, no person can be happier while his sisters live with fear be it neighbour, or in any part of country.

This is happened only because of delaying in injustice from the government. Nationwide protests march being planned, but the rising of the demand to give punishment to all the accused is still anonymous, & the government is noiseless. We believe that justice will brought about before long.

Delayed Jusitce is Denied Justice..Government is testing the patience of people. Even BBC mentioned that Indian Ledaders are very slow in handling sensitive issues.Entire India wants Capitlal punishment to rapists..But our Governemnt wants Chemical Catstration for rapists and still in double mind whether to implement Death sentence or not..If 55 years old man rapes a girl, then this punishment(catastration) is laughable one..!
If things go like this, people will take law in their hands like bombing accused houses. There is one more news that family of one more rapists from Bihar living in house arrest style..Poor parents have to pay heavy penalty for their son's great work..!

This shows us how frustrated INDIAN citizens are on , but plotting bomb on victims house is foolishness coz FATHER of the accused himself asked the government to impose death penalty to all accused including his son. I completely agree with the point of Mr. Mohandas Kapikad. In spite of outrage all over in INDIA morons are still women’s are getting raped or molested. Waiting to hear the new amended LAW against rape or sexual pestering.
