Teen Raped in Delhi on New Year's Eve

New Delhi, Jan 2 (IANS): A 17-year-old school student was sedated and raped by two men in the upscale south Delhi colony of Safdarjung Enclave on the night of Dec 31, when hundreds had gathered across the national capital to call in the New Year with protests against rape. The two men in their late 20s were arrested and sent to Tihar Jail.

The men, identified as Rajesh and Naveen Jain, work in IT companies, police said. They were arrested Monday night and sent to Tihar after they were produced at the Saket court.

The victim, a Class 11 student, had met one of the accused on a social networking site. She told police officials that he had expressed the desire to meet her several times, sources said.

He finally managed to convince her to meet him on Dec 31 at a south Delhi market and then asked her to accompany him to a flat in Safdarjung Enclave. There he was joined by his friend, police sources said.

The two then sedated and took turns in raping her. They also warned her of dire consequences if she revealed anything.

The victim, however, managed to flee and took an autorickshaw to a nearby police station, where she lodged a complaint. Police immediately sent special teams under the supervision of Joint Commissioner Southern Range Vivek Gogia and Deputy Commissioner of Police Chhaya Sharma, an official said.

These things will continue in happening…until and unless a strong law implements. In India…this will continue…because the main drawback is men ego. Everywhere the men are superior. Women’s are humiliated at their own houses…then what can we expect from the outsiders. Whenever anything happens…we blame the ruling parties…I don’t understand here…why to blame the ruling party. Are the ruling parties are elected to go behind these rapist or murderers or any other kind of criminals??? Its within us. If we know to respect each and everybody in the society no political party can stop us to create a better India. Now a days we are hearing so many rape cases which are reported…hey guys there are zillions of rape cases which are not reported or not brought in-front of the media….what about those victim girls. Please guys…for God’s sake…stop this inhuman kind towards us. We are also normal human beings. Do not forget…there is ONE above all of us who is watching each bit of our sins and conducts…and one or the other day we have to pay for our sins. Atleast for that sake…fear to God. Even the animals do not behave in this manner …please stop this…and live a normal life. Do hard work…and for sure…your hard work will be paid off one fine day and you will be rewarded…

This is not a full rape only half rape.
She makes friendship with unknown person. Made an appoint to meet him. Met him and went with him alone to his apartment. This is nothing but inviting a young guy to rape her self and later complaining.
And it's all happened in Delhi, the place which took International attention for two week long for the same issue. She is a student. Means she is an educated. Studying in 11 std. Means she is grown enough to understand that, what will happen if she go with a young man alone. She must realize before go with him that: the boy is not going to build a temple for her and make "pooja" of her. There must be some difference of terms and conditions or opinions. So, she felt unhappy or lose the match. May be she didn’t get what she was expecting. May be the gift which he has given to her is below to her expectation etc. (he might be a kanjoos)So, she took an auto rickshaw and went to the police station.
So, punish the girl not the boys. She might be a professional or black mailer.

What happened in the bus is a rape and it is condemnable, commendable, discussable and punishable. But this case is something different. She went for TIMEPASS but - kisi ka time kharaab tha! So, pangaa ho gaya!?

What Halappa did: it was a rape. Went to his friend's house. Took shelter there. Enjoyed all the hospitality. In the mid night acted chest pain. Sent his friend to bring medicine and forced his wife to have sex. It is called Rape. A well planned rape. Lakin kya karegaa? Udhar uska bhee time kharaab tha!
Even though it is against to our own, INDIAN CULTURE none of the so called culture protectors didn’t open their lips or make any dharana!?
If the capital punishment implemented in Great India for rapists, Halappa is the first person to be hanged in public. Because he was a responsible person, (is he?) He was a minister, he was an elected representative, law maker – turned – love maker!
So, for each action and re action don't blame Rahul Ghandhi, Sonia Ghandhi, Indira Ghandhi or Mahatma Ghandhi.

    Jai Hind!

Networking with an unknown person is calling for trouble. She is in 11th Grade instead of concentrating on studies what parents expect her to do, she on the quite is chating. I think her parents too may not have known that she was chating. Why blame the government for everything they cannot be watching you 24/7. One needs to know what is right and wrong. The case of Damini is different, she was innoncent and no fault of her, lost life, culprits need to be stoned to death in public. Keeping them in prison is only helping the culprits by way of shelter and food. People should see the punishment in public to know what action the government will take for such type of crimes.

There is nothing left to called them by human beings. They are SATAN. And those who are commenting like involvement of political party, it is not desired to be expressed. The rapists are the responsible himself only, and it will not be true to point on political parties, etc. When these rapists get death sentences, than the crime will decrease.

In spite of being educated, these 2 guys don't deserve to live in a society. Death penalty is the only punishment for rapists.

Why she went alone to an known person to the flat? She is a girl, and she should know the consequences if she goes to an unknown person. She has to be blamed first. Boys in a new year definetly with the influence of alcohol. The girl has shown the way to rape her, then blaming the boys.

    Dear Mr. Lingappa,

It was me who clicked disagree here. Eventhough I agree on the 1st half of what you wrote I disagree on the other half. What have their folks to do with this? Its not right you punich them. I understand its their duty to guide them to show the right path of living, but not all what is preached by elderly i accepted & followed by everyone!! I hope you agree on this. Those who politicise all rape hereI REALLY PITY THEM FOR THEIR STATE OF MIND.

Stop this sick mentality of party bashing mates!..The victim did not belong to any party. We have to collectively fight it out. The law in the country is totally conked up. Unless we have something stringent & tough law nothing is gonna stop. OR we should do like Pakistan, pull the accused form the police station and burn him OR burn his house of the accused with all of their folks in,, No one would dare to commit such crimes.
