Mangalore, Jan 5: A housewife committed suicide at her apartment in Kottara by slashing her wrist with a blade on Friday January 4.
The woman has been identified as Jayalatha (27). She got married about two-and-a-half year ago.
She was suffering from illness and had undergone a surgery six months back. Sources said that she was also receiving treatment for mental illness from a week.
The incident came to light when her husband came home. She was immediately rushed to hospital but all the efforts went in vain.
A case of unnatural death has been lodged in Kavoor police station.
