Mangalore, Jan 8: The VHP and Bajrang Dal on Monday January 7 staged a protest demanding the extradition of Andhra Pradesh MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, who has been booked for making alleged hate speeches last month.

Addressing the protestors in front of the DC office, Keshava Hegde, VHP state organising secretary, urged the authority concerned to extradite Akbaruddin from the country.

"All the political leaders including Muslim leaders must express their opinions on this issue," he said.

“Such statements that hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community are not acceptable. This, in fact, leads to communal disharmony and loss of peace," he added.

Sharan Pumpwell, division convenor, said, "Akbaruddin's statements makes us doubt the 20 crore Muslims of our nation, as no one has yet reacted to the issue."

Krishnamurthy, VHP division secretary, said that it was an irresponsible statement made by a responsible MLA.

"As a responsible MLA, a person should always focus on peace and communal harmony. But this MLA has been speaking like a terrorist. Such people should be publicly rejected," they said.

"Akbaruddin has to apologize to the entire Hindu community that let him live here. He should also be sacked from his MLA post immediately," they urged.

An effigy of Akbaruddin was also burnt during the protest.

A memorandum was submitted to the DC by the leaders and members of the VHP and Bajrang Dal.

The VHP and Bajrang Dal threatened to carry out a major nationwide protest if appropriate action was not taken against Akbaruddin.

Leaders like Bhujanga Kulal, Pradeep Pumpwell, Punith Pumpwell and others were present.

One more nuisance by these jobless people. I am not happy either like most Indians with the speech of Akbar Owaisi. At the same time, all these Indians who hate this speech should also hate his fellow companions like Mutalik, Prabhakar, Thogadia, Modi, etc. There are many people of this category and all should be penalized equally and treated equally?
Why these non-sense parties are making these protests only now? These were the same who were clapping on the much worst speech of Mutalik and Prabhakar Bhatt. Why this kind of partiality? Police and the concerned authorities have to be respecting their positions and do their jobs irrespective of their supporters or religion. If the police were doing their jobs well in all cities and villages, we wouldn't have been in such a situation.
Shame on the police and the ruling people who donot do their job well and play as puppets for money!!

There should be stringent law irrespective of religion, whoever spread venom, hate speech, should be punished severely, whether they are MIM, SIMI, RSS, Sena, BD, VHP or any other affiliation or associations.

Instead of living with cooperation with each other, some vested interested group exploit situation which will favour them. It is really disgusting and shameful.

The MIM leader’s hate speech aims at disturbing communal harmony in the country. Such leaders belonging to any religion or community should be dealt with strictly. If convicted, they should not be provided any place in our socio-political system. Unfortunately no action has been taken against KP Bhat and P.Togadia for their hate speeches. At the same time people projecting the mass killer modi as Country’s future Prime Minister. What a double standard!

It is true that Akbaruddin owaisi's speech is inflammatory. But certain questions in his speech make sense.
    1. Why people connected with demolition of babri masjid are not brought to Book?
    2. Why Hindu leaders who give inflammatory speeches against muslims and christians like Bal thackeray, praveen togadia, pramod mutalik and kalladka prabhakar bhat are not sent to prison?
    3. Why raj thackeray who openly criticicses Biharis is not arrested till now?
These are the right points to ponder. If owaisi is arrested, then the same should apply for the hindu right wing leaders also. Then only we can call India as a democratic country. Jai Hind

Owaisi needs to be dealt firmly, but i find it ridiculous BD & VHP raising voice,as Owaisi and These organisation are two sides of same coin. Our Kalladka Bhat gave a
speech, next day we see him being chief guest for the opening of police commissionerate, seated next top police officer. We all know how biased & unfair is the system.

It is worthy if the VHP & BD people use their energy to put the pressure on the Law authorities to lower the age limit of the minors / juveline in rape cases, so that the the sixth accused ( minor ) in Delhi Gang rape case gets death penalty.

VHP & B.D. you know hate speeches are wrong and punishable in India. So you are now demanding punishment to Owais for hate speeches, absolutely Right! 100%
But why you (VHP/BD) also give hate speeches ?
Do you know only sinless person can first cast stones to punish sinner ?
Bitter truth, as long as there are double standards, peace will not prevail!

MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi's statement against majority Hindus has come timely as the state assy election is due in May this year, may become a tool to Hindu organisations to rake up the issue to their gain in election process unless government takes punitive steps against the MLA.Earliest is the better.MLA's statement/his MIM party is a great threat to the entire Muslim community. Therefore,it is necessary that muslims condemn the MLA outright and demand quick action against him.By going with the mood of the government it is apparent that there is no serious thought rendered against the MLA for his inflamatory speach against majority Hindu community obviously keeping in mind the vote bank policy being perceived hitherto.A mamoth Hindu sangama meeting is on cards at the earliest wherein the core subject for speakers will be Owasisi's hate speach.Government can not contain the retalaitory speaches unless Owasis's wings ar clipped at the earliest through legal process.

It is every citizens right to demand the strict action against owaisi. But why the same action was not taken against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat ? where were these guys when he was giving his his speech? our useless government is searching for excuses on daily basis. why the same kind of action was not taken against him. This has further embolden the morron to give more hate speeches against minorities. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat should be arrested and should be tried in supreme court.

BAJARANGA DAL/VHP don't politicalize this issue because it is too sensitive. Akbaruddin in fact deserves striping of INDIAN CITIZENSHIP.BD/VHP should not do this dharna under it's banner but it should take all communities in to confidence. It is not the issue of BD/VHP instead it is the issue of all Indians. It is very unfortunate MIM allowed him to do so and mean time EC may look it to the matter. Extradition with out striping INDIAN CITIZENSHIP is not possible and to which country extradition should be?As per rule of land he should be dealt.I think anybody be HINDU or MUSLIM or CHRISTIAN who works or speaks against the unity of Indians should be prosecuted with out bias.Muslims already issued statement against OWAISI and no cultured citizens or society tolerate such kind of stupid, foolish and criminal thinking and actions.
