Karkala, Jan 12: Fr Vivian Fernandes has been ordained as a priest for the Bareilly Diocese on January 5 at the Church of St Victor, Nellikar.
The Ordination was conferred by Fr Gerald Isac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese.
Fr Julian Pinto represented the Bareilly Diocese on the occasion, Fr Ivan D'Mello, the parish priest of Nellikar Church, Fr Victor Fernandes, brother of the newly ordained priest and 52 other priests witnessed the Holy event.
Fr Vivian Fernandes is the yougest amongst the seven children of Jerome and Late Irene Philomena Fernandes, residing at Monthy Villa, Panappila.
He is the second child in the family to be ordained into priesthood after Fr Victor Fernandes who serves as an OFM priest.
