Moodbidri, Jan 14: Annual feast of Infant Jesus was celebrated at Alangar church with great festivity and solemnity on January 13 with solemn high mass at 5:30 pm in the open grounds of the church.
Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore Diocese presided over the high mass. Thousands of people gathered with great devotion. Twenty five priests con-celebrated. Bishop preached on the theme of the day "Let us grow in faith in Jesus Christ".
The Bishop quoted two touching anecdotes about two girls in Pakistan and UK, about the way in which they bore witness to the name of Jesus Christ. And the bishop gave a call to all Christians to be united in faith and to bear testimony in life.
The whole ground was beautifully decorated with lights and illuminations. There were meals for all those who attended the celebration. The backdrop was very attractive.
The Parish Priest Fr Basil Vas thanked all the Donors and the volunteers.
Fr Prakash Lobo, the assistant Parish priest organized the liturgy. Vice-President Jerald Lobo responsibly managed all details of the celebration.
The participation of Youth in great numbers and also in rendering service was noted by all.
