Udupi: Nagamandalotsava to be Held in District from Feb 1

Udupi, Jan 18: The Nagamandalotsava will be held at Manjarabettu of Yellur Village, Udupi district, near the Vishwanath Temple from February 1 to February 3. The Nagamandalotsava to be held under rthe leadership of Dharmapal U Devadiga, Ex President, Devadiga Association, Mumbai.

In relation to and part of the religious rituals, Nagabimbha Pratishta, Brahma Kalashabishekha, Aashlesha Bali Seva, mass feeding and others to be held under the priesthood of Vedamurthy Bettige Venkataraj tanthri, Vedamurthy Sagri Gopalkrishna Samaga and Muddhur Krishna Prasad Vaidhya.

A formal stage programme is to be held on February 3 at 11 am, presided over by Dr Veerendra hedge of Dharmasthala. Central Petroleum minister, Dr M Veerappa Moily to be the chief guest. Sri Vidhyaprasanna Swamiji of Subrahmanya, Sri Vidhyadeesha Teertha Sripadaru of Palimar Mutt, Sri Yogananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Nithyananda Yogashrama, kodevoor and Sri Eshvittaldas Swamiji of Kemar are to bless the occasion.

The Nagamandalotsava Committee consists of Devadas Hebbar Kattingeri, Prafull Shetty Yelloor, Devaraj Rao Nadimane, Padmanabh Bhat Yelloor, Sumana S Yelloor, Sundar Moily Ambalapady, Vittal J Sherigar Katapady, S K Shriyan, Sundar Moily, Ravindra C Mendon Mattu, Rajesh Sherigar, Thonse Sanjeeva Poojary, Pandu Shetty, Sharavathi Rao, Krishna Sherigar, Raghavendra Devadiga, Umesh devadiga Kapu, JC Shekar Gujjarabettu, Suresh Devadiga Barkoor and many others.

Variety of cultural events will be organized on all the three days of the Nagamandalotsava. Large number of devotees to be thronged to view the beauty of Nagamandalotsava, it is learnt.
