Bhatkal: 35-year-old man drowns at Murudeshwar beach

Bhatkal, Jan 21:  A 35-year-old man drowned at Murdeshwer beach, here, on Sunday January 20.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath of Bangalore.

It is learnt that Manjunath along with 28 members went to Murudeshwar beach. At around 3 pm Manjunath was swept away by a huge wave while three others were rescued.

The body of the victim is not yet recovered. There are still no lifeguards at this beach.
 
A case has been registered at Murdeshwer police station.
