Mangalore: Panambur Beach Utsav from January 25

Mangalore, Jan 23: “The Dakshina Kannada district administration as a part of Karavali Utsav 2012-13 will host a three-day beach festival from January 25 at Panambur beach”, informed assistant commissioner Dr M V Venkatesh, addressing a press meet held at DC office. 
 
The Utsav includes food festival (Aaharostava) and cultural festival.

The inaugural ceremony will be held on January 25 at 4 pm. Kite-flying programme by ‘Team Mangalore’, dance, music competitions will be held. On January 26, ‘beach baby’ – a competition for kids between the age group of 3-5 will be held at 6.30 pm. Musical competition will also be held. The kite-flying show will be held on all the three-days.

On January 27, skating competition for school children will be held at 8 am. At 11 am, swimming, boating, sand sculpture competitions will be held. At 3 pm, there will be attractive kite flying show.

The Utsav will end with a performance by the famous ‘Euphoria’ team.
