Sack Shinde for hurting national interests: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Jan 24 (IANS): Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde should be removed for his comment on "Hindu terror" that had hurt national interests, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj said Thursday.

Asking Shinde to not cross his limits, Sushma Swaraj said politics can be practised to the extent that it benefits the Congress or even harms the BJP but "should not be taken to a level where national interest is affected".

The leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, who was addressing a protest rally at Jantar Mantar here, added that the party wanted an apology from Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

"Sonia Gandhi should apologise to the nation and sack Shinde," she said.

"You have hurt national interest at a time when Pakistan is coming and beheading our soldiers. You are not attacking Pakistan but attacking the main opposition party," she said about the home minister.

"What do you want to tell the world? There might be terror camps in Pakistan, but here the main opposition party runs a terror camp! Do you want to say, terrorists are sitting in parliament? The leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha is heading a terror organisation?" she asked.

Shinde had said in Jaipur during the Congress's Chintan Shivir Sunday: "Whether it is BJP or RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), their training camps are promoting Hindu terrorism."

The opposition party was Thursday holding nationwide protests against Shinde's comments.

Why creating such a big thamasha!
The only slip of tongue by Mr. Shinde was Hindu Terror instead of Hindutva Terror.
It's a human error and that happens with everyone.

Khangress is the most communal and anti-national party - Gandhi parivar comes first, country last.

BJP is a nationalist party - Country comes first, everything else later.

A day will come when hindus will no longer be safe in their own country and be a minority like Tibet.

Come on Sushmaji. Why only BJP have to concern about "National Interest", why not other national/regional political parties raise this issue if it really hurts hindu sentiments? After all they too belong to same religion so as you Sushmaji !! Their silence indicates they endorsed with Mr.Shinde's statement.
BJP should divert towards other agenda like corruption, food price, petrol diesel price etc against UPA govt instead manipulating with communal cards, if they really intend gain in 2014 polls.

BJP should not get annoyed at what Shinde said reason wherever BJP gets to form a govt first they do is terrorise the minority in some way or the other for example in Orissa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jharkhand,Uttarakhand,Madhya Pradesh only exceptional is goa where the CM Parikkar is an educated person and has not allowed the fringe elements like VHP,BD,RS to enter goa and create problems so they should not feel annoyed and sit and introspect
