Udupi, Jan 27: The three-day beach fest ‘Samudra Mathana’, held as part of the anniversary celebrations of Lal Bahadur Shastri Sports and Cultural Club and Kaup – Padu Government Higher Primary School, was inaugurated by district in-charge minister Srinivas Poojary on Friday January 25 at Kaup beach, here.

MLA Lalaji Mendon, honorary president of the beach fest committee presided over the programme.

Yashpal Suvarna, president of the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada District Fish Marketing Federation, Shambhavi Kulal, taluk panchayat member, Anita Sudhaama Shetty, Shekar Salian, former president of Kaup Billava Sangha, Devaraj Thottam, Kaup gram panchayat member, Mohan Bangera, president of Kaup Mogaveer Maha Sabha, Chenamma L, Kaup Mogaveer women’s committee, Shriyan, Shashikala, Kaup Government Higher Primary School were the chief guests.

Dinesh Suvarna, president of Lal Bahadur Shastri Sports and Cultural Club welcomed.

Nagaraj Shriyan delivered the vote of thanks.
