Udupi, Jan 30: Fr Canute Barboza, the head of the department of social work at Milagres College, Kallianpur was awarded a PhD degree by the Kannada University, Hampi.
Fr Canute was awarded for his research on ‘Labour welfare – a comparative study of organized and unorganized labour in Dakshina Kannada district’.
Fr Canute Barboza under the guidance of Dr Richard Pais, retired professor of St Aloysius College prepared his thesis through Karnataka Theological Research Institute, affiliated to Kannada University, Hampi.
