Deschamps picks uncapped Alessandrini for Germany warm-up

Paris, Feb 1 (IANS): French coach Didier Deschamps picked a new face in Romain Alessandrini to join the 23-man squad for a friendly match against Germany at home.

"(Alessandrini) is a player that I was following for a while. During recent months, his performance with Rennes were quite good. It's is a decisive player... He has a very good technique and an interesting profile," Deschamps said after presenting the roster.

Along with the 23-year-old midfielder of Stade Rennais, Spain-based defender Rapahel Varane and Bacary Sagna, Arsenal defender were also called up by Deschamps

Les Bleus will meet Germany next Wednesday at Stade de France.
