M'lore: Holy Spirit Church, Mukka holds Corpus Christi procession

Mangalore, Feb 4: The annual Corpus Christi procession of Holy Spirit Church Mukka, was held on Sunday February 3.

Prior to the procession, mass was offered by Fr Baptist Menezes of Jeppu Seminary, Mangalore along with the director of Mukka Church Fr Lawrence Martis. The procession was led by Fr Baptist Menezes along the NH-66 and culminated at the church after a kilometer long way where adoration was held.

"A person who unites people has faith in God. We need to help the old and the sick, for, by serving them we can serve God," he added.

Devotees in huge numbers including priests, and nuns took part in the procession.

The entire programme was managed by the vice-president of Holy Spirit Church Lawrence Rodrigues and parish council members.

Refreshments were arranged for the devotees after the ceremony and fire crackers lightened the night sky with a spectacular view.

The annual feast will be celebrated on Wednesday February 6.
