Rio De Janeiro, Feb 6 (IANS): Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said the team's 2013 car is on "another planet" compared to the one of last year.
Massa recorded the sixth fastest time of one minute and 20.536 seconds during Tuesday's opening day of pre-season testing in Jerez, southern Spain, reports Xinhua.
The Brazilian later said the car suffered none of the traction or corner performance problems that hampered Ferrari's start in 2012.
"I think if you compare the car to 2012, it's on a completely different planet," Massa was quoted as saying by Brazil's Uol.
"Last year we were unable to control the car and it was difficult to keep it on the track. This time the base is different. "
McLaren's Jenson Button recorded the fastest time of the day of 1:18.8, ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber, who clocked 1:19.7.
