Six killed in Pakistan drone attack


Islamabad, Feb 9 (IANS): At least six suspected militants were killed and two others injured Friday in a drone attack in Pakistan's northwest tribal region, Xinhua reported.

The unmanned aircraft targeted a house in Babar Ghar village on the border of North and South Waziristan, two volatile tribal regions bordering Afghanistan.

The drone fired two missiles at the house and killed six people inside besides injuring two others.

The house was destroyed in the attack.

Friday's attack was the eighth of its kind this year. So far, at least 53 people have been killed in such strikes in 2013.
