Bangalore, Feb 11: Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE), Bangalore organised its members meet on Friday February 8 at the Grand Magrath Hotel, here.
Robinson D’Souza, president, gave a rousing welcome address while George Timothy, director -mentoring led the members and guests through a prayer.

Citing the example of the site visits made by its members during their trip to Dubai, Robinson touched upon the tremendous benefits available to KE members. He introduced the special guests of the evening, after which new members were inducted into the fold of KE Bangalore.
Anil Francis Rego, founder and CEO, Right Horizons and lead member - KE Bangalore, introduced the guest speaker of the evening, B S Harikrishna, GM, Zed Communities.
Harikrishna gave a presentation on trends in sustainable living and zed approach. He outlined the approach that ZED has towards sustainably protecting the environment, while building for the comforts of a perfect home, while shredding oft-quoted myths that it’s more expensive to go green or that it’s impossible to harvest water at home. ZED, he explained, has been recognised for constructing the world’s first platinum rated eco-friendly building. Harikrishna shared his company’s mission of making the world green, and urged the audience to help build a sustainable environment by embracing green housing.
George Timothy, director - mentoring, took the audience on an introspective journey. Using the analogy of a painter, he wondered whether not following one’s dreams and doing the mundane was akin to painting with the wrong brush. He encouraged the audience not to let doubts come in the way of their dreams.
Mark D’Souza then elucidated on KE’s most ambitious project yet, Entreprenet 2014. A joint initiative of KE Global and Dimensions, Entreprenet 2014 is being built on the theme of ‘Building Business Leaders’. The event will be held on Januar 31 and February 1, 2014 at Park Plaza Hotel, here.
Dr Anthony Pais, renowned breast cancer surgeon and chief of women’s oncology at Mazumdar -Shaw Cancer Centre – Narayana Hrudayalaya, gave a no-holds-barred account about his life. He took members and guests on a roller coaster ride of his personal journey: from being a national- level athlete and a bad student in his youth to becoming one of the best doctors in his profession. His personal victories over every difficulty that life threw his way inspired the audience.
The compere for the event was one of KE’s newly inducted members, Caroline Rodrigues. The evening ended with a vote of thanks by Charles Gomes, lead member - KE Bangalore.
