Rain in Dubai: Cloudy weather in general with high humidity

Dubai, Feb 20 (Emirates 24X7) : There have been reports of sporadic showers and light rains in parts of Dubai this Wednesday afternoon, with the amount of cloud cover increasing across the emirate.

UAE’s official weather forecaster, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), forecasts an increase in the cloud cover as the day progresses. “Partly cloudy weather over some areas, cloud amount will increase over some areas, especially over the Island and northwards with a chance of rain,” the NCMS reckons for the day.

“Light to moderate winds in general freshening at times over the sea,” the day’s forecast says.

In addition, there is a chance of fog formation over some coastal and inland areas over the next couple of days. “The relative humidity will increase over some coastal and inland areas with a chance of fog / mist formation,” reads the forecast.

Motorists will do well to drive with caution in the event of rain and fog.

Meanwhile, minimum temperatures are forecast to dip to 8˚C in internal areas of the UAE with a maximum forecast of 31˚C.

At the same time, residents continue to enjoy pleasant, but colder mornings as well as chillier evenings.
