Sat, Feb 23 2013The fertilizer used for the Ganja plant is bone ash as appeared in the Deccan Herald. So if you find someone buying bone ash , you must understand that he is a Ganja grower. You do not use it for any other plant, according to an horticulturist.

Sat, Feb 23 2013Waste of tax payers money. What are so many policemen trying to achieve by posing for this photograph ? The SP of Udupi should ban this type of unwanted police publicity. It is the duty of the Police Dept. anyway to catch these peddlers. Their intelligence should have prevented these ganja growers from growing in the first place and not wait for them to transport the harvested crop.

Sat, Feb 23 2013Cathing the peddlers is fine. But see the number of cops posing for this photograph. I wish that many of them were put to useful duty during this time like intelligence gathering etc etc and to prevent a Hyderabad style bomb attack. What a waste of tax payers money.

Sat, Feb 23 2013I think Manipal police were fast asleep till now. Just now they got up from their deep sleep. May be they have received the kickback from this drug group. Drug is freely available in Manipal, and why our police force is so ignorent about it.

Fri, Feb 22 2013Contemporary uses of cannabis are as a recreational or medicinal drug, and as part of religious or spiritual rites the earliest recorded uses date from the 3rd millennium BC.[9]In 2004, the United Nations estimated that global consumption of cannabis indicated that approximately 4% of the adult world population (162 million people) used cannabis annually, and that approximately 0.6% (22.5 million) of people used cannabis daily United Nations has said that cannabis is the most-used illicit drug in the world Cannabis is considered to never have led to overdose death Marijuana's cardiovascular effects are not associated with serious health problems for most young, healthy users.According to a 2006 United Kingdom government report, using cannabis is much less dangerous than tobacco, prescription drugs, and alcohol in social harms, physical harm, and addiction The US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration stated in its July 2001 report from the Drug Abuse Warning Network Mortality Data: "Marijuana is rarely the only drug involved in a drug abuse death. Thus, in most cases, the proportion of marijuana-involved cases labeled as ‘One drug’ (i.e., marijuana only) will be zero or nearly zero".

Fri, Feb 22 2013Police may have already received "do not proceed with the case" orders.
But our Police are good. They will proceed with the action.
Problem - these people always get bail and carry on with their trade.
Just imagine the magnitude of the trade from what Langoo and R>B> have mentioned down there - and imagine the kickbacks some authorities get for allowing\did not see anything attitude!!
So many are making pots of money being in Positions elected by the people.

Fri, Feb 22 2013Feed them with the same Ganja. The only difference from their perspective would be they would consume the Ganja instead of the illegally earned money.
Govinda Swami, Appanna, Dharmappa - now till you get bail ...govinda re govinda.
